7 "And in praying        2  And
  do not heap up empty phrases         do not pray
  as the Gentiles do;         as the hypocrites,
  for they think          
  that they will be heard          
  for their many words.          
8 Do not be like them,          
  for your Father knows          
  what you need           
  before you ask him.          
      2 And   but
        he said to them:   as the Lord commanded
            in his gospel,
9 Pray then like this:     "When you pray, say:   pray thus:
  'Our Father     'Father   "Our Father
  who art in heaven,         who art in heaven,
  Hallowed be thy name.     Hallowed be thy name.   Hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come,     Thy kingdom come,   Thy kingdom come,
  Thy will be done,         Thy will be done,
  on earth as it is in heaven.         as in heaven so upon earth.
