26	JESUS SILENCES an UNCLEAN SPIRIT
Matt	Mark 1		Luke 4
	23	And immediately	33	And
		there was in their synagogue a man		in the synagogue there was a man
		with an unclean spirit;*		who had the spirit* of an unclean demon;
	24	and he cried out,		and he cried out with a loud voice,*
		"What have you to do with us,	34	"Ah! What have you to do with us,
		Jesus of Nazareth?		Jesus of Nazareth?
		Have you come to destroy us?		Have you come to destroy us?
		I know who you are,		I know who you are,
		the Holy One of God."		the Holy One of God."
	25	But Jesus rebuked him, saying,	35	But Jesus rebuked him, saying,
		"Be silent,		"Be silent,
		and come out of him!"		and come <away from> him!"
	26	And the unclean spirit,		And when the demon
		convulsing him		had thrown him down in the midst,
		and crying with a loud voice,*
		came out of him.		he came out of him,
				having done him no harm.
	27	And they were all amazed,	36	And <amazement came over> all
		so that they questioned		and <they> said
		among themselves,		to one another,
		saying,
		"What is this?		"What is this word?
		A new teaching!
	28	With authority		For with authority and power
		he commands even the unclean spirits,		he commands the unclean spirits,
		and they obey him."		and they come out."
		And at once his fame spread	37	And reports of him went out
		everywhere		into every place
		throughout all the surrounding region		in the surrounding region.
