285	The WIDOW'S OFFERING
Matt		Mark 12		Luke 21
		41	And he sat down	1	He looked up
			opposite the treasury,
			and watched the multitude		and
			putting money into the treasury.*
			Many rich people		saw the rich
			put in large sums.		putting their gifts into the treasury;*
		42	And a poor widow came,	2	and he saw a poor widow
			and put in two copper coins,		put in two copper coins,
			which make a penny.
		43	And he called his disciples to him,
			and said to them,	3	And he said,
			"Truly, I say to you,		"Truly I tell you,
			this poor widow has put in		this poor widow has put in
			more than all		more than all
			those who are contributing		of them;
			to the treasury.
		44	For they all contributed	4	for they all contributed
			out of their abundance;		out of their abundance,
			but she out of her poverty		but she out of her poverty
			has put in everything she had,		put in all the living* that she had."
