I will dance before YHWH
                                           and will lower myself still further.
                                                                      -- 2 Samuel 6:23

I am earth, and you
embracing me above,
are sky.  To death we dance;
And yet I taste your wrath
as love, and find mirth
in my sorrow.  For though
I die along the path,
here I have my chance.
What if I'm for sleeping?
In facing no tomorrow
I hold no waste in mind,
no wrong in being told:
Enough!  The worth, I know,
is in the song.  So now,
in keeping time, I fly.
