Cleopatra IV  [ca. 135 - 112 BCE; murdered]

Daughter of Ptolemy VIII & Cleopatra III
Sister-consort of Ptolemy IX.
First wife of Antiochus IX Cyzenicus.
Mother of Ptolemy XII & probable mother of Antiochus X

Cleopatra IV was a pawn & victim of the rivalries that divided the house of Ptolemy. Her first marriage was dissolved when her mother exiled her sibling-consort to Cyprus (115 BCE).  The following year she was married to the Seleucid king, Antiochus Cyzenicus, only to be murdered by the order of her own sister (Tryphaena).
